Lawnmower Racing

I visited the Redbull Cut It event in Cheddar last year with a few friends. It was an interesting way to spend a Saturday morning. If you get bored by the repetitivness of F1 then this is the motorsport for you. The event is action packed with multiple crashes each race. Competitors go from first to last and back to first again within a few laps! Many of the teams competing in this event also put their endurance to the test earlier in 2018 in a 24 hour lawnmower race in Champagne-Ardenne in France.

The Viaduct Animal Sanctuary

Nature photography is something I have never really done much of. I love BBC natural history documentaries and being base about 2 miles down the road from their HQ I know a few people who work on it. I am also a big fan of Tim Flach so I thought I would help out a local exotic animal sanctuary and make a popup studio at their centre. It was great fun to try something new and put myself out of my comfort zone. I am ok with most animals except snakes. I don't know why but the way they move hits a verve.  Hopefully these images will help the Sanctuary out as these are all rescue animals and need to be rehomed. I was worried about the flash distressing the animals but we only worked with the calmer ones and they didn't seem to care at all!
