2022 Part 2

Had a lovely shoot in Totnes with healer Prune Harris. It was great to be working in my hometown and more specifically Dartington Hall Gardens.

May was all about automotive in Italy. Starting out with a Ferrari 275 Tour around Tuscany from our base in Florence. I have a particular soft spot for Italy for both work and Holidays. The food, scenery, art and history. I love the lot. The Ferrari 275 tour was organised by Ian Poulter the golfer and Classic car dealer Tom Hartley Jnr. I was working for Sammon Media which organised the media coverage and video. We’ll know car snapper Alex Penfold covered the cars and I was trying my best to keep up in a hired goat panda and leapfrog the group of cars to cover the people side of things at each lunch stop. As you would imagine anyone who owns one of these £1mil + cars is wealthy so the food stops were high-end and great places to take photos. We had some amazing access to rooftop spaces in Florence. A particular highlight for me was driving Zach Brown (boss of Mclaren F1) a lift when his car broke down. The tour of Chianti vineyard was also amazing. Another notable moment I will never forget is being escorted by in covoy by the police. They stop every traffic light so the Ferrari's can drive straight through. I was tagging along at the back in a hired Fiat 500 with my foot to the floor trying to keep up weaving through traffic and red lights as the motorbike-mounted Police waved us through. It felt a bit like a computer game and an experience I will never forget.

After a quick stop home for a few days, it was back to Italy a week later. This time Lake Como for Villa d Este Concours d Elegaza with Rolls-Royce Motorcars. I have done this job for many years so am always very grateful for the work here as it’s an amazing part of the world. I have done this event for many years but for the last 2 years, we were based out of the newly opened Mandarin Oriental which was amazing as we were often transferred by wooden Riva lake boats.

I have been doing a lot of work with insurance companies this year. It's mostly office reportage and company culture based. This was a few days split over Newcastle and London for Aioi Nissay Dowa. Asia’s largest insurance group and Axa.

Commission with Bristol-based artist Helen Burgess. The Porcelain shells are individually cast and painted to relate to her client. A very meticulous process which looks amazing once finished. Helen also lives in an amazing house which serves as a great location to capture the artwork.
