2022 Part 3
Summer Holidays in the water and air. My underwater cam housing, paddle board and drones come everywhere with me. I will be putting together a water-based fine art print shop in 2023. Diving the cliffs of North Devon is exactly the reason I got into FPV drones. It's a liberating immersive feeling when flown through the goggles that really does feel like you are flying yourself. I can drive past a mountain, cliff or waterfall these days without planning and imagining how I would dive down it.
:Buffalo Mozzarella farm with Countryfile. I have worked on farms a lot over the years and always love it. My approach to livestock is generally to go into the field and wait still until the cows get used to my presence and approach me before I start taking pictures as they generally run away if you walk towards them and act skittish. I was thinking of the same approach for Buffalo but it became clear fairly early on that they are not the same animal at all and this would be a dangerous approach! Much bigger in size with the largest being over 6 feet tall and much wilder which tend to run very fast together as a pack.
Expert Care editorial feature with English Heritage at Belsay Hall near Newcastle. I love working in the Newcastle area. It's very surprisingly easy and cost-effective to get to with a return flight possible on the same day. It often works out cheaper in travel than Central London to work in.
Kocho office work in London with agency Mr B and Friends.
Summer is always a busy one with Rolls-Royce Motorcars. This year I was covering Festival of Speed and Revival at Goodwood. I would highly advise going to see Revival. Its a great fun event where everyone including ourselves and press have to dress up.
I joined the Wonderful Machine network midway through the year. Its an amazing network and resource for photographer and photo commissioners alike. https://wonderfulmachine.com It prompted me to make a few videos of my print folios as per their request
