2022 Part 4
Babyshower Afternoon Tea, Halloween Afternoon Tea and cocktails in the Mulberry Bar at Celtic Manor. After a bit of a break from food photography it was a welcome change to people and automotive photography.
The first of many hybrid stills and video shoots for Marsh Commercial.
Celtic Manor fleet of brand new electric buggies.
J Witt Recycling. This was a particularly fun shoot. Waste recycling has access to some amazing spots including access roads around Well Cathedral and start work very early. I actually had to convince them to start later for the morning twilight as they are usually all finished in town centres by 6am while it's still dark! It's amazing how much can be recycled everything is sifted through using various electro magnets, gravity and shake-based size sorting and handpicking. The remaining rubble gets sorted into smaller and smaller categories until mountains of hardcore, rubble topsoil and dust is sold back to the trade as aggregates.
Fabric Nano CEO. Lots of nice photos from forwards thinking tech science startup but they are all heavily NDA’d.
There were a lot of long walk commissions with Countryfile in 2022. The first was with writer Dixe Wills who had walked from Weston Super Mare to Weymouth. Most would assume this was done around the coast but Dixe walked right through the middle past Cheddar Gorge walking across the Somerset Levels with Glastonbury Tor visible for days. The second was the Mortimer trail in Herefordshire along some lesser-known beautiful Wye-Esque rover landscapes. The last was with Mary Anne along the Ridgeway in Wiltshire visiting various neolithic historical sites including Avebury which is a very impressive alternative to Stone Henge which allows much closer access to the stone circles which surrounds the town.
